Last week, the 4th International Conference on Integrative Salmonid Biology (ICISB 2019) was arranged in Edinburgh, Scotland (UK). As part of the conference, several poster viewing sessions were held and approximately 30 posters presented. The posters were evaluated by a committee of three judges, Sam Martin, Ross Houston and Daniel Macqueen.
Thomas N. Harvey, researcher at CIGENE, received the best poster prize for his poster “Liver slice culture as a model for lipid metabolism in Atlantic salmon.” This is his second poster award; previously he won a prize for his poster explaining the work he was about to perform as part of his PhD. This time he presented the results and outcome. Thomas is grateful to his colleagues at CIGENE; Simen R. Sandve, Jon Olav Vik and Jacob S. Torgeirsen (AquaGen) for contributions and supervision.
