Johanna H. Wagnerberger, former master student at CIGENE, recently received the award for the best master thesis at NMBU in 2020. She has used CRISPR based gene editing to characterise the function of the abcg2b gene. This gene can give rise variation of the color of the muscle, which is an important trait within salmon farming.
We congratulate Johanna with the great achievement!
