Talk title: Plant biotic interactions combining present-day and historical samples

Abstract: In this talk, I will delve into the realm of plant-pathogen coevolution by integrating present-day and historical samples to examine the interactions between crop and wild plants and their fungal and bacterial pathogens. Furthermore, I will explore the role of bacteriophages in shaping inter-bacterial competition and influencing the outcomes of bacterial infections in metapopulations of historical and modern plant pathogens. To shed light on the multifaceted nature of these interactions, I will contrast the results of plant-pathogen relationships in cultivated crops with those found in natural ecosystems.
